"On a face devoid of eyes and a nose there was only a menacing beak that nervously chewed on itself with an unnerving, high-pitched ticking sound that further nauseated Peter to the point where he could no longer fight back the urge to vomit."

Subtitle

"It had no shoulders to speak of, and thick, powerful legs heavily bowed with no feet, but instead with exposed shin bones scaping against the hardwood floors and making a hideous screach each time the legs adjusted themselves to counter the creature's shifting weight."
