Title:

"With fixed gaze at her own reflection in the driver side window, without looking at the man, she reached out to pinch the black fabric of the man's jacket arm, to see if it was real."

Subtitle

"Then, as if sightless, she moved her hand up to his puzzled face and groped around its contours. The stubble on his jaw felt real, as did the rise of his nose, the tickle of his eyelashes, and the damp warmth of his forehead. A quick glance at the crowd to see if she was still being watched revealed that she was indeed being carefully monitored. So she opened the door and sat behind the wheel, inserted the key and turned it just enough to enable the lowering of the electric window. "Who the eff are you?" "I'm Peter -- Schawn." He held out his hand to shake hers but she did not oblige. "No, I meant... nobody else sees you." His discomfort was just as evident as hers. He cleared his throat and drove his hands deep into his pockets. "B has got to be fuming right about now," he thought."
