Title:

"In a sparkling new supermarket flooded with flourescent light..."

Subtitle

"...Peggy stared at the can opener in one hand, studied its construction to judge its quality, then turned it over to see its price. Then she turned her eyes back to the can opener in her other hand. She wanted the crummiest one she could find. Her thoughts darted to the horrible song that had followed her down the store aisle: a haunting, sappy tune also played during her own wedding while she stepped gracefully toward the smirking groom who would eventually destroy what little peace she had left in her soul. Blaring over the intercom a man's jarring voice interrupted the song to order a cleanup for a spill on aisle 23. The intercom volume was too high and the man's voice crashed into her brain, made her jump, and wrested her mind back to the two can openers she was holding."
