From a large body of figurative works, this is No. 21 by contemporary artist Keith Clementson.

Title:

"Suddenly conscious again, no longer drunk, he saw his own body from above, a birdseye view, lying lifeless in a urine-soaked bed, the most beautiful thing he had ever seen."

Subtitle

"Something strange and indescribable had happened. "I died?" he thought. At first he couldn't believe it. But he eventually realized it was true -- everything was much, much different. Somehow he was now completely sober with an ultra-clear mind. No longer limited by a physical brain, a sense of weightlessness and a general understanding of all things, something approaching ominiscience, displaced his old sense of bodily presence. Suddenly the five senses of his previous form seemed so "last year", so limited and rudimentary. He now lived in some new reality with new laws of Nature unimaginable before. Somehow he knew all of this. All of that misery before the accident was somehow transformed instantly into an exultant sense of overwhelming peace, peace that comes with understanding. Now, all of a sudden, he knew where his Hero was, and what he was, and that he would be reunited with him soon enough. He knew this somehow."
