Figurative painting by Denton figurative artist Keith Clementson.

Title:

"The overwhelming emptiness in his apartment thoroughly sickened him."

Subtitle

"There was glass-top coffee table between his modest couch and vintage Magnavox TV set. He dropped his violin case from a reckless height onto the table, smashing the glass. Unaffected, he walked around the broken glass and sat down on the faux-leather couch. He leaned forward and opened the case and removed the pint of vodka that was wrapped in a shoeshine cloth he used to wipe down his violin -- a Guarneri del Gesu looted in Italy during World War II and given to Peter by the veteran whose life Peter saved with the Heimlich Maneuver."
